THIS GAME IS SHAREWARE!
(Please read 'How To Register', for details about registering Manic Minefields)
When you register Manic Minefields, you will recieve a code/key from us, making the game much more enjoyable.
THESE FEATURES ARE WHAT YOU WILL GET IN THE REGISTERED VERSION
* The annoying "This is an unregistered copy!" alerts will disappear!!!
* You will be able to choose from all 10 (instead of just 2) of the different minefields. Each Minefield has its own exciting and fun set of cool graphics, sounds, scroll texts etc.
The different minefields are unique designs, some have special rules (i.e. obstacles etc.), and some have odd ways of displaying the numbers (i.e. dice, Roman digits, foot prints etc.).
* You will feel a lot better about yourself, knowing that you have supported the concept of shareware.
You are not allowed to spread any registered copies of this game.

HOW TO PLAY
You might have played a game called 'MineSweeper™' (MicroSoft), 'Landmines™' (Atari Corp), or anything else with the word 'sweeper' or 'mine' in it.
Then you probably know how to play, since the rules of those games and Manic Minefields are very similar.
A square containing a number (1-8), indicates how many mines you can expect to find in the adjacent 8 squares.
Combining the info from several numbers in an area, will help you know which squares to mark with a flag and which squares you can clear.
Clicking with the mouse button will clear a square (if you think that the square is safe to walk on).
Clicking with the mouse button while holding down Shift or Command or Control or Option will place a flag on a square (if you think that there is a mine on that square).
The goal of the game is to mark all the mines as fast as possible.
If you find the explanation above unclear, just start Manic Minefields and try a couple of games.
You'll get the hang of it!
MINEFIELDS
You have 10 (2, if unregistered) different minefields to choose from (in the Minefields menu), each with a unique design and separate highscore tables.
